The Fall Of Man

TheEliteExtremophile The full-length debut of Greek act Guppy Fish covers the territory I’d always hoped Mikael Åkerfeldt and his crew would. The Fall of Man isn’t exactly a metal album, though it often flirts with the territory.

martibandcamp A complete experience of an excellent album. Offers a wide range of successful experiments for demanding rock fans, through a fluid transition from one song to another. Leaves a sense of fulfillment and a familiarity with the band's work Favorite track: Neverending Flow.

at fates hands Overall is a great album probably one of my favourites of this year. If you like Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Opeth you have to listen. All the tracks are fantastic, emotional but aggressive also. No fillers here. Favorite track: Above The Sky Pt.2.
dreamer

dreamer Quality compositions in the vein of Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, Steven Wilson with a hint of King Crimson.

Dynamic range is refreshingly balanced too! Favorite track: The Fall Of Man.

The Fall of Man They’re lying blissfully and wide awake as eons floating through their eyes. Moments or centuries come blurred away no doubting reason in their minds. Ancient and towering, its branches high right in the middle of the garth. Casting a grateful shade for both to share while holds the key to their demise. What’s good or bad, pure or corrupt, now reason’s coming clear It perils in ashes and dirt To feel the urge for greed, such spiteful deed, we’re doomed to disappear. What is the answer? Two sides one soul, who holds the toll, the everlasting fear. It perils in ashes and dirt The one they named a grievous sin, remains unseen while fate is lurking near. The Fall was fated. Thou shall not consume. The taste was vile but as we came to life I saw the serpent through the mist. Shedding its skin against the ancient tree while doubt came crushing from within.

Easily played I always try to rise too soon I think I’m falling down falling down I wanna be more hard to gain I think I’m easily played easily played I finally found what to do I think I’m running out out of time And now the real eyes inside They think I stumble on on my thoughts I always set myself to blame I think I' m burning out burning out I wanna live like I don’t care I think I m driving out out of you Every now and then I try not just to pretend Looking back and see What I would really want to be Now the sun is dark And the night is full of light I wake up to be In an emotional stage of fright There is an ocean lying underground This is a better way to live When my illusion fades I'm falling down Is there a place for you and me? Every now and then I try not just to defend Stepping back and see What I really want to be Now the sun is dark And the dark is getting bright I wake up to be In my emotional stage of fright There is an ocean lying underground This is a better way to live When my illusion fades I'm falling down Is there a place for you and me? There is a place for you and me You and me You and me

I don’t like your Face I don’t like your Face I don’t like your attitude I don’t like your daze I don’t care for things you do I don’t give a shit if there’s something bothering you Cause I don’t like your Face I don’t like your attitude I don’t like your Face I don’t care if you’re a stranger to me now I don’t give a damn I made my offer anyhow You need a savior but I'm not the one to blame I never trusted your soul I don’t like you anyway I don’t like your Face I don’t like your attitude Find another place Life goes on for me and you Tried so many Your selfish behavior captured in you So now enjoy the pace I really love to hate you too

Exposed 06:26
Exposed Different people outside but the same are all inside Try to take them at night and exposed them to the light Proud and meaningless they lie in the end, they failed to shine Trapped in a cage full of souls they can’t stand to hear their words Brake now the mirror in two what you look is what you do Open your eyes make them lie and exposed them to the light

Still Here 06:51
Still here? Another day Another way to find A reason to satisfy My illusions light Another night Under the bridge of time I m waving in a sea Of Madness Am I still here? It was a matter of time When I saw you alive You were talking to me And I was screaming Then I lost you again And I m feeling so mad It was something so real Am I dreaming? There's a voice in my head Saying "Take your life in your hand I'm your savior You re still healing" I remember a time When I was living a lie Burn my soul and fade away Am I still here?

Neverending flow I saw its jewel-blue stream from afar, was curving gently through the trees. Chords of soft light speared down from above I could have sworn I’ve been here before. It felt so strange to hear it again this hum of innocence it sung. My heart raced faster, but I knew All along The creek of my soul. All is one unending flow Swift but wide, like A thousand fireflies shining bright In the darkest Night. I quietly paced towards the edge My face reflecting on the pond. A sudden thought came creeping on Born alone To walk its shore. All is one unending flow Swift but wide, like A thousand fireflies shining bright In the darkest Night. As the dust from a once-proud mountain It took ages but no time at all The neverending flow Place yourself on top of this fountain Sip away and let it all unfold It all has come before. All is one unending flow Swift but wide, like A thousand fireflies shining bright In your darkest Night.

Justify 04:44
Justify Tell me why should I even try When I dream forever can I Justify After all these years of silence now I raise my voice After all these empty spaces I embraced myself Feeling so warm now Getting stronger Like never before In and out Hiding out Disappear My darkest fear Emptiness Meaningless Take my hand and wash it all away Tell me why should I even try When I fall forever Can I Justify?

Above the Sky Look through your notice before you jump See through your mirrors be a wolf from a lamb Seek for the toys you've never had Meet all the joys Live as you’re mad Taste glory of nothing share something ideal find sorrow on laughing Live dreams as they're real Make much of inanities search answers within for all of your vanities find ways to look in In deep oceans you will lead the greatest audience with notes you'll spread n' if you’re awake crying out for a lie You'll know how fake is to ask for a try n' when you’re awake and ask "who am I?" you'll be all out of time while running behind Taste glory of nothing share something ideal Find sorrow on laughing live dreams as they're real And when you're awake give ego a tie All margins will brake you'll be "above the sky" In deep oceans you will lead the greatest audience with notes you'll spread In deep oceans you'll feel greed from the greatest audience you’ll always need
