as eons floating through their eyes.
Moments or centuries come blurred away
no doubting reason in their minds.
Ancient and towering, its branches high
right in the middle of the garth.
Casting a grateful shade for both to share

What’s good or bad, pure or corrupt, now reason’s coming clear
It perils in ashes and dirt
To feel the urge for greed, such spiteful deed, we’re doomed to disappear.

I saw the serpent through the mist.
Shedding its skin against the ancient tree
while doubt came crushing from within.
